Personally,it should've said "FAMILY ON BOARD",but the producers thought this was better.

I have found many photos of The ORIGINAL 1957 Chevy bus that they used for the series,AND some of the copycats that were used for the promotional tie-ins for Come on,Get Happy:The Partridge Family Story. I've even found a few toy buses that look exactly like the original.
