In A Day of Honesty, Keith Partridge stays up all night to write the song. The Partridge Family is shown rehearsing the last few seconds of it in the garage. Five minutes ago Laurie Partridge called it a "turkey," but now she calls it "nice" to Keith's face. Danny Partridge calls her out for lying. He asks Reuben Kincaid if he likes the song, but Reuben just rambles without giving a straight answer. Despite the lack of enthusiasm, the Partridge Family is later shown performing the entire song live on a darkened stage.
In ...---... (S.O.S.), the Partridge Family performs the song on a stage in a restaurant on a stage cluttered with decorations, including an organ. Keith doesn't play an instrument.
