Jerry has a history of doing wild things for attention. Once he assembled a Volkswagen in the principal's office. A year ago he won a pizza-eating contest by eating fourteen pizzas in two hours.
On the series[]
As a prank on Frankie Kirkwood, Keith and Danny Partridge persuade Jerry to run for homecoming queen, arguing that he's fading into obscurity now that people are forgetting his earlier stunts. During the contest, which is televised, Jerry says that being homecoming queen is "the dream of every red-blooded American boy" and that he hopes to get Judy Greitzer's number. He is the first runner-up. Laurie Partridge becomes homecoming queen, but she uses her acceptance speech to talk about the evils of discrimination, then says that she can't accept the title. Jerry is crowned homecoming queen.
