The Partridge Family Wikia

Chris Partridge is a main character in The Partridge Family. He is the fourth child of Shirley Partridge following Keith, Laurie and Danny but is older than Tracy. Chris plays the drums in the group. Chris was originally portrayed by Jeremy Gelbwaks in the first season but then was portrayed by Brian Forster.

Background[]

Chris's father died six months before the start of the series.[2] At some point, he and his siblings started a garage band, with Chris as the drummer.

On the series[]

After the band's previous singer, Gloria Steineman, comes down with the mumps, Chris and his siblings talk Shirley into singing Gloria's part on the recordings. With Danny's help, the Partridges get Reuben Kincaid to manage them and get a record deal. Within four months, they're performing live at Caesar's Palace. During their first live performance, Chris and his siblings are paralyzed with stage fright until Shirley tells them to close their eyes and imagine they're still in the garage.

During the first season, the family goes on tour to places including Hawaii,[3] Paris,[4] and Canada.[5]

Looks[]

Season 1: Chris was small in height and weight, had short brown hair, big brownish-green eyes and a small freckled face. Chris is usually seen wearing a horizontal stripped shirt and slacks.

Season 2-4: The second Chris was small in height and had short blond hair and big blue eyes.
