The Partridge Family Wikia

Albert is the leader of a group of protestors who are hired by Laurie Partridge to protest Bartlett's Department Store's malfunctioning computer, which has ruined Shirley Partridge's credit rating. He, his followers, and Laurie march outside the store waving signs that say things like "If this is progress, who needs it?" and "This store unfair to customers and other living things." When Tom Baker shows up and Albert finds out he works for Bartlett's, he leads his followers in a chant of "People, yes! Computers, no!" Shirley, Byron Atwater, and Mr. Bartlett come outside, where the two men tell Laurie that the store will clear up Shirley's credit rating and send letters of apology to each Partridge and a letter of explanation to each firm Bartlett's does business with. Laurie declares victory, so Albert and his followers head off to San Pueblo Chemical for an ecological protest.
